About Rose Haven
Rose
Haven has been a line dance instructor since 1992. She has taught at
numerous retirement communities, churches, colleges, dance studio’s,
community recreation centers, and on many special occasions for
corporate, church, and private parties. She currently teaches part time
in Atlanta, GA and surrounding areas as a weekly instructor..
Rose has been the founder and director of two award winning competition
dance teams. The first, Dixie Kickers was started in the 90’s and
competed in the Southeast. It won a CDA (Country Dance Association)
grand championship for one of its routines. The second team was Step In
Time, which competed between 2000 and 2005 in the world wide Country
dance organization UCWDC (United Country Western Dance Council). You

won two World Championships in the Showtime and Cabaret Dance
Divisions, in 2004 and 2005. In previous years, it also won 2nd place
in Teams Short Program and 4th place in Teams Large Troupe. She thanks
her good friend and team choreographer Tandy B. for her invaluable
choreography and direction in winning these competitions.
Rose
has been a member of NTA (the National Teacher’s Association – a world
wide organization) since 1991. She is currently the Zone S Co-Director
(southern U.S.) for NTA and is accredited by NTA through Dance
Fundamental Level V.
Rose was previously a competition Line Dance Judge for CDA, UCWDC, and
a few other dance organizations from 1993 through 2005. She has taught
dances at Dance Event Workshops all around the U.S. and Norway. She is
grateful for all the wonderful people she has met and worked with in
the dance community across the country.
Rose has been a member of the Dream Team, a part of the foundation,
Dancing for the Dream, co-founded by International recording artist,
singer, composer, and entertainer, Scooter Lee, and Jo Thompson
Szymanski, internationally known choreographer and instructor. More

Rose is grateful to Scooter for so many wonderful opportunities to
participate in D4D dance events/health seminars all over the U.S. and
the great experience of working with Scooter for 2 weeks in Norway, in
2004.
When she’s not dancing or teaching dance, Rose enjoys time with her family, reading, and movies.
